EnergyBase - Website Case Study | ALP Agency
ALP Agency
Home Services North West England / 2026

A boiler company that outgrew its own name.

BoilerBase rebranded to EnergyBase to cover renewables and air conditioning, not just boilers - a new identity, a new storefront and a homepage that quotes a price before it asks for a phone call.

01 - The brief

What was in the way

BoilerBase had built a good business fitting boilers across the North West, then started selling air conditioning and renewables - services the name actively worked against. The old WordPress site carried a cartoon skyline, a headline that could have said anything ("Rely On Us For All Your Boiler And Heating Needs") and no prices anywhere, so every enquiry started from zero.

02 - The approach

What we did about it

The rebrand to EnergyBase widened the name to match what they now sell. The new site leads with the five things you can actually buy and what each one costs, so a homeowner can qualify themselves before speaking to anyone. Accreditations moved up beside the fold, and the whole thing was rebuilt off WordPress to cut the weight.

04 - The detail

Every decision on this page had a reason.

Hover a marker - or pick one from the list - to see why it's there.

05 - Responsive

Designed on a phone screen first.

Roughly two thirds of EnergyBase's visitors arrive on mobile. Every layout decision was made there and then scaled up - not the other way round.

06 - Design system

The kit the whole site is built from.

Colour, type and spacing defined once, then reused everywhere - which is why new pages take hours instead of days.
